Pedal for Puppies is a virtual ride experience designed for everyone. You can ride solo, with a team, through your neighborhood, on a stationary bike, or on a Peloton—whatever works for you. Ride your way while raising funds and awareness for an incredible mission.

Puppy Ride Long Island – Coast to Coast

One journey. Thousands of miles.

For the first time, Jim Freiss and his team from Puppy Ride Long Island are taking their impact to the next level with a cross-country ride.

Puppy Ride Long Island was founded by Jim in honor of his late brother, a graduate of The Seeing Eye®. After witnessing the independence and dignity his brother gained through his Seeing Eye dog, Jim turned that inspiration into action.

Over the years, this dedicated team has:

  • Ridden more than 15,500 miles
  • Raised over $305,000
  • Inspired more than 576 donors

This June, they will ride coast to coast beginning in Washington State and finishing in Montauk, New York—making this their most ambitious journey yet.

Join the Ride in Person:

  • Kick off the journey in Washington with a celebration of the team’s start.
  • Join the coast-to-coast team as they cross into Long Island and celebrate their success at the finish in Montauk—or cheer them on along the route.
  • This incredible group will also ride three days in Vermont, August 27-29. perfect for anyone who wants an in-person experience.

The cost of breeding, raising, and training a Seeing Eye dog is significant, but for someone who is blind, the impact is life-changing.

A Seeing Eye dog provides independence, confidence, and partnership. It opens doors, creates opportunity, and transforms everyday life.

Every mile you ride helps make that possible.

Fundraising Incentives

As you reach new milestones, you will receive special Pedal for Puppies gear:

  • $250 – Seeing Eye T-shirt
  • $500 – Seeing Eye hat
  • $1,000 – Seeing Eye water bottle
  • $2,500 – Pedal for Puppies bike jersey
  • $5,000 – Name a Seeing Eye dog and receive a commemorative medal

Each level includes all previous rewards. Incentives will be distributed after the event.
