Dr. Gordon Melville is retired after serving over 35 years as a diagnostic and interventional radiologist in Central NJ. He joined Associated Radiologists in 1985 and led the introduction, operation, and interpretation of MRI services, one of the first in the state. Dr. Melville was certified by the American Board of Radiology as a subspecialist in Neuroradiology. He had a staff appointment at RWJ University Hospital Somerset, where he continues as a retired member. He served as Chairman of the Radiology Department and worked on numerous other committees at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center. He filled multiple leadership positions, including Chairman of the Board of his practice. Dr. Melville enjoyed teaching residents and medical students and has authored chapters within leading neuroradiology textbooks. The American College of Radiology awarded him the distinction of Fellow in recognition of his contributions. His colleagues elected him a Castle Connelly Top Doctor for over 20 years.
Dr. Melville holds a BSE in Biomedical engineering from Duke University, an MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and completed a diagnostic radiology residency at George Washington University Hospital and a fellowship in Neuroradiology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
