Lasting Friendships: The Morris County SE Puppy Club

“From the beginning, the 4-Footed Leaders Morris SE club has brought together puppy raisers who share a commitment to service, community, and the mission of The Seeing Eye. We are proud to help raise future guide dogs while building lasting friendships along the way,” said puppy club leader, Melissa Baumgartner.

Thirteen puppy raisers with eight yellow Labs, one golden retriever, and three German shepherds stand together at the Pigeon Statue during a multi-club outing to the High Line in New York City.

The club was created in 1967 by Martha Bardin. For over 30 years, they have held their meeting at the Madison Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.

“On the last Saturday of each month, our club visits the NJ Firemen’s Home in Boonton, NJ, which has become a very special tradition for both our raisers and the residents.”
