Today marks the 15th Global Accessibility Awareness Day, a day dedicated to educating people about digital accessibility. The Seeing Eye works hard every day to ensure that our website, emails, documents, and social media posts are accessible to everyone.
Some actions we take that you too can take are:
- Add alternative text (or ALT text) to all photos and graphics you use. This short sentence or two provides a written description of an image.
- Check that the captions on your videos are accurate.
- Adding audio descriptions allows people who are blind or low vision to enjoy your content too.
- Ensure all your webpages and graphics have high color contrast.
