Susan Pomerantz

Susan Pomerantz, Ph.D.

Dr. Susan Pomerantz, a Seeing Eye graduate, is a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Manhattan. Before becoming a psychologist, Dr. Pomerantz was a civilian intelligence officer with the US Army and a senior intelligence officer with the US Defense Intelligence Agency. She earned a BA in International Studies from Emory University, an M.A. in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University. She trained in three college counseling centers and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis and Psychology. Dr. Pomerantz was an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Seton Hall University. She also directed and implemented disability awareness programs in elementary schools in New Jersey. Dr. Pomerantz has two adult children and lives in Manhattan with her Seeing Eye dog, Nelson, and retired Seeing Eye dog, Logan.
