Sometimes Poison Control needs to be consulted when a dog ingests items, such as medication. In the event that your Area Coordinator states that Poison Control needs to be called, please call the ASPCA number at 1-888-426-4435. There is a $75-$100 charge for the call that you will need to pay — The Seeing Eye will reimburse you for the cost (please be sure to get a copy of the receipt as you will need it for reimbursement). You will receive a case number for your call; please be sure to give that case number to your Area Coordinator so they can provide it to the veterinary staff in the event that follow up procedures need to be taken.
