The Seeing Eye provides follow-up support for the lifetime of the partnership. Seeing Eye instructors can answer questions by phone or, if required, in-home visitation. 

Graduate Services

For Seeing Eye graduates only

The Graduate Services section of our website requires login credentials and features resources specifically for Seeing Eye® graduates, including information about:

  • Equipment purchase and replacement
  • Pet Insurance for your Seeing Eye® dog
  • Classmate lookup
  • Returning student application form
  • The Navigator, a magazine specifically for graduates
  • Holiday messages from staff
  • Lectures, advice and other resources

Access to Graduate Services content requires graduates to login using the credentials that were created when applying for a Seeing Eye® dog. The username is the graduate’s email address, and the password was selected by the graduate. Please have your credentials handy before proceeding. If you have forgotten your credentials, click on “forgot your password” on the next page

When Partnerships End

There comes a time in the life of every guide dog team when it becomes clear that the partnership will soon end. The ways that graduates deal with this loss are as varied as the individuals themselves. 

Publications and websites that specifically address how to deal with the loss of a service dog are extremely rare.  However, there are a number of helpful resources on the subject of the loss of a beloved pet.  We hope that some of the following readings might comfort you as you move through the stages of loss.
