Friends for Life: Sydnee, Reed, & Saturn

“Raising Reed was absolutely the best part of college for me. Seeing him grow, learn new skills, and behave like a good future working dog at our club outings made me so proud,” said Seeing Eye puppy raiser Sydnee Leaver about her first Seeing Eye puppy.

Sydnee was first introduced to puppy raising through the Rutgers puppy club. Even after graduating from college, she wanted to continue raising puppies, so she joined her local county puppy club and is currently raising puppy #2, Saturn, a German shepherd.

“I love to see Saturn learn his commands and experience new things on exposure outings. I can’t wait for the day I get to see him harness, guiding his instructor through the streets of Morristown.”

“The amazing fellow club members, Seeing Eye staff, and graduates I have met through being a puppy raiser are some of the kindest and amazing people. I have made great friends for life through the puppy raising program.”
